The Delta State helmsman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Matthhew Sunday Ovye led the entire officers and in the Command in celebrating the world Peace Day.
The theme of this year’s celebration “CULTIVATING A CULTURE OF PEACE” which culminated into a lecture facilitated by the HOU Peace and conflict resolution DCC Adams Hakubu who did justice to the theme by enlightening the house on the cost of not living in peace with one another siting examples of the ongoing war in UKRAINE, ISRAEL and the loss of lives in the recent Okuama Killings in Delta State and the need to embrace peace in our daily living to avoid unnecessary costs, damages and loss of lives.
The lectures were followed by question and answer session
Commandant Ovye, then appreciated the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the giant strides recorded in his administration and prayed that Almighty God will continue to grant him the wisdom to further move the Corps forward..
