NSCDC PASSIONATE ABOUT ITS MANDATE, SAYS COMMANDANT PAUL IGWEBUIKE


“The Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Paul Igwebuike, has affirmed the Corps’ passion for executing its mandate in safeguarding and protecting the country’s critical government assets, as well as protecting lives and properties.”

Commandant Igwebuike stated this while holding talks with the new Commandant of the 12 Brigade, Kogi, Brigadier General A. Fadairo, who was on a familiarization visit to the Kogi NSCDC Command.

“I’m delighted to have you in our command, and I must quickly emphasize that both the army and NSCDC have a lot to achieve from our synergy and collaborative relationship. On our side, the NSCDC, I must establish the fact that we are very passionate about our mandate, and this explains why we have well-trained personnel who have performed brilliantly in Kogi State and all over the country,” Commandant Igwebuike said.

”We are highly trained, well positioned to make sure all those Assets and infrastructure are safe and well-guarded, we have so many of them in the State and we are doing our best in this regard.” said Commandant Igwebuike

The Commandant expressed delight with the Army Commanders wider scope of operational experience and his enablement to bring on board such for the betterment of Kogi State.

He said Kogi NSCDC has consistently enjoyed a robust synergy with the military, both in joint operations and Intelligence sharing.

Speaking further, Commandant Igwebuike said NSCDC personnel are positioned in all the 21 local government areas of the State providing security to ensure law and order, protecting lives and property including critical national assets and infrastructure in all nooks and crannies in the State.

In his response, the new 12 Brigade Commander Kogi State, Brigadier General Fadairo, appreciated the State Commandant for the warmth reception accorded him and his entourage.

General Fadairo however pledge the sustenance of the synergy and collaboration between the Army and the NSCDC, especially as it concerns protection f the nation’s critical assets.

He however urged Commandant Igwebuike and his personnel to also feel free and come to the army barracks to make use of their sporting facilities for more cordial relationship.
