The Kogi State helmsman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Paul Igwebuike, has emphasized the need for a reasonable level of synergy and collaboration for an unhindered and successful forthcoming local government election in Kogi State.
Commandant Igwebuike state this while holding talks with the Chairman Kogi State Independence Electoral Commission Alhaji Mamman Nda during an elaborate meeting of critical stakeholders in Kogi State ahead of its locacal government election scheduled for 19th October 2024.
Alhaji Mamman Nda had sought for maximum collaboration amongst all the security agencies, stressing the fact that this would give a very solid enable environment for the democratic exercise to be effective, unhindered and successful in all ramifications.
According to him the election has been scheduled for 19th October 2024 across all the 21 LGA Areas for 239 Councillors and their chairmen.
The Chairman People with Disability (PWD) Honourable Solomon Omada appreciated NSCDC for creating a unit in the command which represents the (PWD) tagging it first of its kind thereby charging other agencies to follow the pace of the Corps in their various formations.
In his address the State Boss of the NSCDC, Paul Igwebuike assured the State Electoral Body Chairman of a very robust synergy, collaboration vis-a-vis an enabling environment for people to come out and cast their vote without hinderance of any sort.
