MENACE OF ONE-CHANCE ROBBERS
We have almost reduced the criminal activities of one chance-cab armed robbers to the lowest level in Abuja, especially at satellite towns such as Zuba , Gwagwalada and Kubwa expressways.
Only recently we arrested three of their ring leaders and they have volunteered useful information to the police, which has led to the arrest of about 30 once-chance criminals at their different locations within Abuja metropolis, though, I wouldn’t know of other parts of Abuja because my jurisdiction is within the Abuja metropolis, but I can assure you that that the police in FCT have intensified patrol and it’s intelligence-build up to wipe out the menace of one-chance perpetrators.
PERSISTENT PROTESTS IN FCT
Though in some instances, they come to the police for permit to protest, but we do advise some of them on the need to carry out their protests where it will be more impactful.
Concerning the issue of persistent protests in Abuja, it has been discovered that people come to Abuja to protest without cogent reasons even when the issue they are protesting over occurred at their local level where their protests would have recorded more impact.
SECURITY ADVICE FOR FCT RESIDENTS
I urge all residents of Abuja to always be vigilant, if they see something, let them report something. The task of achieving security is a collective one.
