COMMANDANT MATHEW OVYE ADHERES TO COMMANDANT GENERAL’S DIRECTIVES: READS OUT SOME DO’S AND DON’T’S OF THE CORPS TO OFFICERS AND MEN OF NSCDC, IMO COMMAND

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) lmo state command Comdt Mathew Sunday Ovye has humbly complied with the directives of the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi through a memo captioned ” Muster Parade at all state commands

It is worthy of note that the Commandant General has directed that muster parade must be held in all state commands on Monday 2nd September, 2024 where in very important issues (Do’s and don’t’s) concerning the corps were brought to the attention of all the staff of NSCDC.

In tandem with the above directive, the attention of staffers of NSCDC, Imo State Command, during muster parade of Monday 2nd, September 2024 was drawn in the following issues.

1- Job Racketeering , employment scam and promotion scam: the penalty for these fraudulent acts is dismissal

2- Dress Code: improper dress, wearing incomplete uniform during office hours will not be tolerated.

3- No aiding of officers in AWOL.

No Aiding and Abetting of vandal.

Say No to social media abuse and indiscriminate sharing of NSCDC official information on the social media space.

Pregnant NSCDC officers must wear the prescribed NSCDC maternity gown.

Impersonation, inDiscipline, writing of petition without source or identity will not be tolerated.

Transfer issues and falsification of records among others were issues discussed by the Commandant during the muster parade.

The service commander also read the GOOD NEWS which has and is taken place in the corps, such as promoting officers and men of the corps as at when due and in their numbers to reduce stagnation. Hope for NSCDC retirees as all their retirement benefits are harmonized
APPRECIATION: The Federal Government appreciated NSCDC staff for their excellent performance before, during and after the nationwide protest. In the memo memo, the Commandant General showed satisfaction in the high level of professionalism displayed by NSCDC staff during the protest, adding that he will always have the welfare of his staff at heart.

The CG also charged NSCDC staff across the country to focus on our key mandates in protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, PGC, disaster management and never to give way for inter agency rivalry.
