Kogi NSCDC Commandant, Paul Igwebuike Assures Kogi Residents Of Water-tight Security, Warns Criminals Of Severe Consequences

Paul Igwebuike, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, has assured residents of enhanced security measures. He emphasized that the NSCDC is committed to providing watertight security and warned criminals of severe consequences if they attempt to disrupt peace in the state.

Speaking during a media parley, Commandant Igwebuike emphasised that his operatives have indeed stepped in their various strategic positions to ward off any form of insecurity challenges in collaboration with other state security agents.

”Let me once again reassure the people of Kogi State, that the NSCDC is conscious of the peculiarity and unique status of Kogi state, bordering almost ten states of the federation with influx of people, commercial activities and the complexity of its security network, but in all these, it is important to inform the state residents, and following the directive of my CG that no stone will be left unturned by NSCDC as far as their security is concerned, Kogi residents are advised to report any form of strange movement and meetings as quickly as possible to the nearest NSCDC office or any security agency for prompt action.

Intelligence is key in security business, let’s take full advantage of any information at our disposal to avert danger and crisis. You will recall that Kogi recorded almost zero level security challenges during the just ended 10-day nationwide protest as far as civil disobedience and criminal activities were concerned, let me reassure that we have not relented in the same security approach deployed by us to curb criminality during the protest.” said Commandant Igwebuike.

”I want to commend the people of Kogi State for their security consciousness, particularly the state government for all its efforts at ensuring strong synergy with all the security agencies in the state. The kogi people, and even visitors should go about thir legitimate business concerns without fear of intimidation and harassement, let me assure them that security of lives and property in Kogi state is ever active with the NSCDC” said Commandant Igwebuike.
