*I will not attend the conference because my life is precious to me
*IPOB sit-at-home still largely complied with by residents and inhabitants anywhere in South East Zone out of fear for their lives
*Abia, being the home state of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been worst hit by reports of insecurity amidst palpable tension that has enveloped the entire South East Zone
*I fear for the lives of over one thousand journalists, besides other participants who will be in in attendance at the state conference venue
*It will be in the interest of the revered Nigeria Union of Journalists to postpone or move the conference to a safer place
