In a decisive move to strengthen grassroots security in the state, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has commissioned an outpost donated by the Isare-Opin community in Ekiti Local Government Area.
During the commissioning ceremony on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, DCC Olushola Davies, representing the State Commandant, commended the community for their steadfast dedication and the timely completion of the outpost.
He emphasized that the Corps remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard lives and property, a commitment that drives the ongoing establishment of divisional offices and outposts. He further noted that this initiative focuses on expanding security coverage to rural areas, ensuring that all citizens, including those in remote communities, receive the protection they deserve.
DCC Olushola Davies called on community members to offer their full support to the personnel assigned to their area and to share reliable information that will help prevent crime and criminal activities within the community.
In his remarks, His Royal Majesty, the Alara of Isare-Opin, Oba Michael Kayode Owolabi, applauded the Command’s commitment to enhancing security at the grassroots level.
He conveyed his gratitude to the Commandant for his continued support and vowed to ensure a supportive environment for the officers assigned to his community.
