In line with series of activities earmarked for DICON at 60 Anniversary, the entire staff of DICON today took part in a 5km Health Walk at Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna metropolis. Other activities featured in today’s event include an aerobic session, novelty football matches between 4 teams of DICON Staff, Tug of War, cultural display and other thrilling entertainments. In an admirable show of true leadership, the DG DICON captained the DICON Headquarters Team, and actively participated in the football match, where he created the lopping assist from a corner shot that resulted in the only goal of the game.
Representing the Special Guest of Honor, Gen CG Musa, the Comdt NDA, Maj Gen JO Ochai commended the transformative initiative and inspiring leadership qualities demonstrated by the Director General, Maj Gen AE Edet, in piloting the affairs of DICON, laying the foundation for a robust Military Industrial Complex in Nigeria. Other dignitaries that graced the occasion include serving and retired senior military officers: the Comdt AFCSC, the AOC ATC, reps of GOC 1 Div, NASI and NACA. others were AVM Umaru (rtd), Maj Gen KI Muktar (rtd) Brig Gen Hassan Lai (rtd) among several others.
