The Benue Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Yakubu Ibrhim has described the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi as the ”turning point” of the NSCDC in all ramifications of the Corps current vast development.
Speaking at the presentation of CG Audi’s third year compendium of achievements, Commandant Yakubu said ”Dr. Audi has executed quite a wide range of policies and projects since his emergence as the CG of the NSCDC three years ago to the benefits of the officers and men of the Corps which has impacted well on the productivity and service delivery of the Corps to the members of the public. Take for instance the priority he has given to training and enhanced operational capabilities.
”CG Audi has indeed made significant strides in transforming the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), earning widespread acclaim for his visionary leadership and commitment to excellence. His accomplishments include establishing the Civil Defence Academy in Jos, Plateau State, enhancing personnel training and capacity building, as well as creating the NSCDC Arms Squad Training School in Nassarawa State to boost arms handling and combat skills. Furthermore, the formation of the NSCDC Female Squad addresses kidnapping, school restiveness, and gender-based security concerns, construction of official and residential buildings within and outside the NSCDC headquarters and arrest and recovery of critical assets and railway materials worth over N5 billion.” Commandant Yakubu said.
Commandant Yakubu however thanked the Editor-in Chief of People’s Security Monitor and author of the compendium, Isiaka Mustapha for his special interest and commitment to the wellbeing of the NSCDC.
