  • General Christopher Gwabin Musa

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on Tuesday restated the resolve of the Nigerian Armed Forces not to rest on their oars until there is a total peace across Nigeria.

The senior military officer stated this on the sideline of the flag off of the distribution of 150 vehicles and 500 motorcycles procured by the Kaduna State Government to address security challenge in the state.

According to him, the vehicles and motorcycles in addition to other peace effort by the current administration in Kaduna State would go a long way in supporting those saddled with the practical responsibility of security of lives and property of Nigerians to do their jobs better.

According to him, “what we have witnessed here today shows the commitment of Governor Uba Sani to make Kaduna a peaceful state.

“This is more so because security is everything and without security, there cannot be peace, and if there is no peace there cannot be development.

“So, what he has demonstrated is that he is not talking about peaceful Kaduna, he is also working the talk and that is very important to us.

“Over 500 motorcycles and 150 vehicles in addition to other things he has been doing is a plus to the security of the State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Our appeal is for the other state governments to continue to do the same. We must support the federal government and armed forces so that we can continue to do our job.

“This array of equipment that has been given will go a long way in bringing lasting peace to the state which is very commendable and so we commend the governor for doing this.

“We therefore promise to work extremely hard until there is total peace in Nigeria”, he promised.
