The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has reiterated its readiness to synergize with the Community Protection Guard, CPG, in the State.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Sani Mustapha, stated this during an interactive session with the new leadership of the paramilitary outfit at the NSCDC Command’s headquarters, Gusau, in a courtesy visit.
He opined that CPG is a child of necessity and as such will be given every enabling support by the Corps to thrive.
He assured the CPG leadership of the unwavering support of the Corps to make it efficacious in its services.
Earlier, the leadership of the CPG, led by the new Commandant, Brigadier General L. B Mohammed (rtd), commended the collaboration the Corps had hitherto established with it since inception.
The retired soldier, therefore, solicited for a continuous synergy with the Corps to curb the brigandage that has bedeviled the State.
Mohammed stressed that NSCDC has all it takes to assist the CPG in the fight against brigands.
He therefore appealed to the Corps to redouble its support where necessary for optimum result.
