Bauchi’s Investment in Agriculture, Infrastructure Key to Relative Peace: Air Force Chief

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar has attributed the relative peace in Bauchi State to the government’s massive investment in agriculture and infrastructure.

During a courtesy call on Governor Bala Mohammed, Abubakar commended the governor’s efforts, stating, “We have seen an uncommon determination to ensure development in Bauchi through infrastructural development and investment in agriculture.”

He highlighted the establishment of the Africa Development Bank (ADP) supported Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones as a significant step towards boosting food security and the state’s GDP.

“The state government’s heavy investment in infrastructural and agriculture has paid off because we have witnessed relative peace in Bauchi,” Abubakar stated. “Security requires coordinated efforts, therefore His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed’s focus on agriculture will help eradicate poverty in Bauch State.”

He emphasized the alignment of these policies with the Nigerian Air Force’s efforts to tackle insecurity, stating, “These laudable policies align with the Nigerian Air Force’s efforts to tackle insecurity.”

Abubakar revealed the identification of Toro, Ningi, and Alakleri Local Government Areas as flashpoints based on intelligence reports. He assured the governor that efforts were underway to prevent any untoward incidents in these areas.

He acknowledged the governor’s continuous support to the Air Force command, stating, “He commended the governor for the continuous support to the Air Force command in the state saying it has boosted air operations.”

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his gratitude for the visit, describing Abubakar as one of the most competent individuals he has met as a governor. He praised Abubakar’s commitment to visiting officers and men, stating, “For the Chief of Air Force to come out to see officers and men was a testimony of his professionalism.”

Mohammed assured the Air Force of the state’s collaboration in addressing the identified flashpoints to maintain peace.
