The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Umar J.G Mohammed, has reiterated the commitment of the corps to partner with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in its fight against corruption.
Commandant Umar made this known today while receiving the newly posted Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ilorin Zonal Command, Mr. Harry Erin, and his entourage at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin.
He commended the efforts of the EFCC in the fight against corruption in the country and assured that the NSCDC would support the anti-graft agency to succeed. Commandant Umar also praised the existing good relationship between the two organizations and urged the new Zonal Director to consolidate it.
The new Zonal Director, Mr. Harry Erin, appreciated the Commandant for his warm reception and lauded the efforts of the corps in supporting the EFCC in curbing the menace of corruption, economic, and financial crimes in the state.
The Zonal Head appealed to the Commandant to assist the anti-corruption agency in intelligence sharing to fight corruption at all levels, and assured him of the commission’s continuous collaboration and support.
