The Kogi Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Paul Igwebuike has described Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi as a God’s gift to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on account of his exceptional leadership and achievements which he described as ‘’awesome’’
Speaking with People’s Security Monitor shortly after he was presented with the 3rd edition of CG Audi’s achievements in office, Commandant Igwebuike emphasized that CG Audi obviously is a special and valuable asset to all the facets of the NSCDC.
“No one could have imagined that the fortunes of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) could be turned around within a short period;
Within a span of three years, Dr. Audi, as Commandant General, defied all expectations set by bookmakers through his revolutionary leadership. His accomplishments have elevated the NSCDC to the status of Nigeria’s foremost paramilitary agency.”
Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on the NSCDC, and his dedication continues to shape its future4. Truly, he is a remarkable gift to the organization.
Take, for instance , the promotional exercise under the leadership of the CG. Prior to his appointment, the Corps had suffered huge deficits in terms of personnel promotion.
There were officers who had been stagnant in their ranks for over ten years. However, the moment CG assumed duties, the first thing he did was to clear all the backlog of promotions. Many officers who had lost hope found their hope restored and became more active in their jobs with their new ranks. Ever since, no officer in the Corps has been denied promotion. This explains why the CG is greatly loved by all and sundry at the Corps,” Commandant Igwebuike said.”
Additionally, Commandant Igwebuike revealed how CG Audi has been able to provide all necessary tools, including arms and ammunition, within a span of three years. According to him, this achievement has significantly improved the efficiency and productivity of the Corps, benefiting all Nigerians who now enjoy better services, especially as it pertains to the core mandate of the NSCDC.
”You must have observed the significant increase in productivity of the NSCDC over the last three years. The credit for this achievement goes to the CG, who has striven day and night to ensure that quality tools, including operational vehicles and arms ammunition, are consistently procured for the NSCDC. This effort has explained the tremendous successes of the NSCDC in its war against oil bunkering in the South South. From all the available indices concerning the development of the NSCDC, the CG has indeed improved significantly on several positive policies he inherited from his predecessors.” said Commandant Igwebuike.
