In view of the demand of members of the public to meet the security challenges facing the country, the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, Dr. Michael Adaralewa has commenced re-equipping and refurbishment of the command’s medical facility for personnel’s efficiency.
Speaking at the command’s state headquarters, Commandant Michael Adaralewa said, it is in line with the vision of the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR to reposition the Corps for better service delivery to the nation.
’”We have to key into the laudable agenda of the Commandant General because he is much concerned about the welfare of his personnel and it is only when officers are healthy that we can have high productivity,’’’ Adaralewa said.
The Osun NSCDC boss charged the personnel to take advantage of the equipped medical facility which include, glucometer, test strip for blood sugar level, blood pressure apparatuses, test kits for treatment of ulcer, hypertension, dislocation, asthma, malaria among others.
Commandant Adaralewa who used the occasion to advise officers and men to prioritize their health said, they should always visit the medical facility for routine checkups to reduce avoidable health challenges that could hinder their service delivery to the nation.
He also enjoined the medical team of the state command to have a positive attitude towards the facility at their disposal. ‘’I charge you to make judicious use of these facilities, use it to improve the quality of care of our personnel. To whom much is given, much is expected,” he said.
The Osun helmsman also appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to assist the state command to equip the medical facility further, saying a lot still needed to be done to bring the facilities to world standard.
