NSCDC REAFFIRMS ITS READINESS IN MAKING THE STATE UNFAVOURABLE FOR CRIMIMALS AND HOODLUMS

The State commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Alexander Bissa Barunde has paraded 7 suspects involved in stealing railway tracks.

Parading the suspects before the press, Commandant Barunde said they were arrested on some days ago at kwakwi village of Riyom LGA of the State following an intelligence tip.

A joint patrol of the men   Antivandal unit and Rapid Response Squad (RRS) swung into action thereby arresting 7 men who are between the ages of 54 to 30 years.

Items recovered are:

1 Truck with registration number Lagos ABC 39ZY loaded with 122 pieces of rail tracks

2 Truck with registration number LSR 556 XA loaded with 60 rail tracks and 30 railway slippers.

While commending the men of Antivandal and RRS for the prompt response, Barunde, enjoined all personnel to intensify intelligence gathering which remains the panacea of any security organization.

Commandant Barunde reaffirms the corps commitment and readiness to combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety of lives and properties within Plateau State.

He urged the general public to be the watchdog of their communities as security is a collective effort.
