Today, we are delighted to share the remarkable achievements made by the Command under the able leadership of a very hardworking and result oriented Commandant CC Jamilu A. Indabawa, who is diligently working to rid the State of crime and criminal activities.
Through collaborative efforts with Public and Katsina Community Watch Corps, the Command successfully apprehended one Abdulhadi Usman ‘M’ aged 20 years from Layin Makera, Dandume LGA .Abdulhamid is a notorious vandal who specializes in vandalizing sensitive electricity high tension wire and theft. During the investigation, the suspects confessed to committing the crimes and revealed that on Monday 5th February, 2024, he went to the outskirts of Jiruwa Village in Dandume LGA, climbed a high tension poles, vandalized the wire and removed 12 pieces of 11KVA aluminium conductor.Furthermore, he was arrested with the vandalized wire before leaving the area.
The following exhibits were recovered from the suspect by the special Antivandal team:
1) Twelve (12) pieces of 11KVA aluminium conductor
2) one (1) cuttlass
3) one (1) hooked stick
The suspect will be charged to a competent court for prosecution after the completion of the investigation.
The Commandant calls on the good people of Katsina State to be law abiding and obey rules and regulations. The Commandant further warns all criminals and miscreants in the State to desist from their evil acts, as the Corps and other Security agencies will relentlessly pursue them.
The Corps in the State also urges the general public to support the Security agencies by providing actionable and timely intelligence that will help uncover the activities of miscreants in the State. Please report any suspicious movement of persons or items to the nearest office.The Command remains dedicated to ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the good people of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
