The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Osun state command and Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Centre, Osogbo have renewed synergy and collaboration to effectively combat the security challenges in the country.
This was revealed during the courtesy visit of the newly deployed NSCDC, Commandant in Osun, Dr Akintayo Adaralewa to Commandant of Nigerian Air force, Air Vice Marshall, Abiola Amodu.
While stating the purpose of his visit, the Osun NSCDC boss said there is need for all security agencies in the country to work together in order to achieve a common goal of protection of lives and property of the citizens.
He stated further that synergy remains the bedrock of achieving maximum security of masses, as no single security agency can stand alone, hence the need to seek further partnership. ’’I am aware of an existing synergy between NSCDC and Nigerian Air Force, my visit is to key into it for stronger collaboration. Commandant Adaralewa said.
The Commandant also hinted that NSCDC is saddled with the responsibility of protection of school children across the country stressing that the safe school also aims at combating cultism, drug abuse and other social vices in schools.
In his reaction, the Commandant of Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Centre, Osogbo, Air Vice Marshall Abiola Amodu pledged his continued support to collaborate with NSCDC whenever the need arises.
In his words, security of the nation is the duty of security operatives, therefore there should be a strong collaboration among all security agencies to better secure Osun state and the country at large.
