Plateau State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Alexander Bissa Barunde has assured the State Director of the Department of State Security (DSS), Isa’ac U. Chikere of the Corps’ consistent intelligence sharing and cordial relationship between the two security agencies.
Commandant Barunde gave the assurance when he played host to the State DSS Director in his office at the NSCDC’s state headquarters in Jos.
He said it is important for security agencies to intensify synergy within the country, especially in Plateau State to enable them to combat the security challenges the state is currently faced with.
Speaking earlier, the State Director, Department of State Security, Isa’ac U. Chikere said his visit was to familiarize himself with the NSCDC and to register his presence with the Commandant, Officers and men of the Corps in the Command.
Mr Isa’ac appreciated the commandant for identifying with him even before his visit and the warm reception accorded him.
He then called for more effective collaboration and synergy between the two services in order to curb and reduce crime in the state.
