The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ebonyi State Command, Dr Elijah Etim Willie has declared that God works only with those that work. This declaration was contained in his charge to the newly promoted officers of the state Command in Abakaliki last Thursday.
Commandant Willie who led the decoration of the over 80 officers of the command tasked them on hard work, diligence and dedication to duty, adding that any attainment in life can only manifest through the grace of God.
“I came to Ebonyi State, I came with a new passion to work and to tell you that hard work pays. Where I am today is as a result of hard work.” he said
He equally commended the commandant-general, Abubarkar Audi for approving the unprecedented number of promotion of officers this time around. He disclosed that out of 27,000 officers that wrote the examination, up to 25,000 got promoted. He charged them to reciprocate the gesture with commensurate dedication to duty
Contributing, the representative of the Controller, Nigeria Correctional Service, Ebonyi State command, DC Abuwa Innocent said the reward for hard work is greater responsibility.
Be happy with others who are rejoicing and if you have gotten your own, pray for others who have not gotten. It is not easy for you to see your mates promoted without you”

Mr Joseph Nwobashi, represented by his senior legislative aid, Hon Emeka Enyiukpo commended NSCDC for outstanding performance of it’s duties. He observed that his encounter with NSCDC officers so far indicated that they are professional in the discharge of their duties.
Those decorated ranged from the ranks of deputy Commandant of corps to Assistant superintendent of corps, who later celebrated their success with dance and merriment.
