The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (Corps NSCDC) Edo state command hosted executives of (PTD) petroleum tanker drivers’ association Edo state chapter on Wednesday, in continuation efforts to mitigate the menace of adulterated petroleum product in the state.
Commandant Agun Gbenga, while welcoming the executives to the state command Headquarters in Benin City, commended PTD and maintained that the meeting came at the appropriate time.
He said his administration has zero tolerance for vandalism and illegal dealing with petroleum products.
Commandant emphasized our core mandates and advised the PTD officials to always cooperate with our personnel .
In his word, ”if there is any issue, tell your drivers not to block the highway, put a call across to the command, and any issue that comes up will be resolved amicably.”
Commandant promised to maintain the cordial relationship between both organisations .
In response, the chairman PTD Edo state chapter comrade Odiase Matthew commended the gallantry of the corps in the fight against vandalism. He lauded the corps efforts and strong relationship with the association.
Comrade Odiase Matthew reiterated that PTD will continue to work with the NSCDC in the fight against economic sabotage.
