Let me begin with a profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the lives and wisdom to over come all the challenges bedevilling the course of our duty to the nation.On behalf of the State Commandant, Commandant Jamilu A. Indabawa I am extending our appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD, for the numerous support and assistance to the Corps.Our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Commandant General A.A Audi PhD, mni, OFR for the innovative, visionary and excellent leadership style that keep the moral of the personnel in a better mood.
I sincerely praise the good people of Katsina State for their understanding,support, cooperation, and encouragement towards the successes recorded in ensuring peaceful atmosphere in the State.Number of Security chellenges were encountered in the year 2023 ranging from banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, vandilization of public assets and infrastructures, thuggery, farmer/harders clashes, house breaking, burglary and other criminal activities.
In line with the directives and vision of CG to rejig, revamp, resuscitate, restructure and reposition the Corps for better performance. The command employed number of plans and strategies through public awareness, public engagement, safety measures, intelligence operations, apprehension of suspected criminals, distruption of criminal activities, recovery of stolen property,rapid respond to disaster and emergencies, routine monitoring and supervision of Private Guard Companies, robust synergy with Security agencies, boarder closure patrols, Safe School coordination and respond.
These were the relentless efforts during the year 2023 by our personnel towards combating crime and criminal activities.Other remarkable success stories achieved by the Command were in the maintenance of 24/7 surveillance over infrastructures, sites and projects of Federal, State and Local Government Areas, peace and conflict resolution and overall security of our dear State.

CASES
I) Criminal cases: A total of criminal cases and prosecutions from January to December, 1,556
II) Civil cases: Total of civil cases for the year under review is 1,047
III) 215 disputes were resolved through ADR
RECOVERIES
I)The sum of 12,546,500 was recovered
II) Vandalized property/other exhibits
III) Assorted number of items
IV) Smuggled items
Other achievements include the following:
I) Thwarting students kidnapping attempts at FUDMA and other Schools
II) Dismantling of illegal and quacks private Security operators.
III) Rapid respond to disaster and emergencies
In his new year message the State Commandant commended the personnel for resilience loyalty, commitments, cooperation and dedication to duty.He further praised the staff promoted in the 2023 promotion exercise.Personnel were also charged for more responsibilities, discipline and dedication to duty.He urged the people of the State to be law abiding and obey rules and regulations
The Command would like to express its gratitute to all the media outlets in the State for the constant support, timely and accurate information dissemination to the public.
The CC is calling on the general public to keep reporting any suspicious movement of persons or items to the nearest office for a more peaceful 2024 and beyond. He further assured that the Command remains dedicated to ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for the good people of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
