New Lagos NSCDC Commandant, Adedotun Keshinro Assures Residents Of Protection Of National Assets, Critical Infrastructure

The new Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Adedotun Sunday Keshinro, has re-assured Lagosians of maximum protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.

Keshinro, who took over from Commandant of Corps, Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, said this will be done through robust engagement with critical stakeholders, intelligence gathering, and synergy with all relevant institutions in the state.

He extolled the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for approving his posting to the State of Excellence, in a bid to ensure fulfilment of the corps’ vision and mandates.

The commandant reassured Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Lagosians of his commitment to ensure maximum protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, safety of schools, improved disaster and crisis management.

In his remarks, Alfadarai, who has been posted to the Abia State Command, charged the personnel to extend the same love and support to the new state commandant.

According to him, that will be the only way to achieve meaningful success for the command. He seized the opportunity to appreciate officers and men of the command for the support they gave to him while he held office.

Keshinro hails from Ijebu Mushin, in Ogun State. He attended All Saints Primary School and Saint Mark’s Anglican Secondary School, both in Osogbo, for his secondary school education.

He proceeded to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he bagged his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Chemistry between 1991 and 1996. Keshinro was enlisted into the Service as a volunteer Personnel (1994). He became a commissioned officer of the corps in 2003 with the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASCII), after which he rose through the ranks to become Commandant of Corps (2021).
