The abductors of seven family members at Zuma 1 in Bwari Central ward of the council have demanded N30 million ransom before the victims will be set free.
City & Crime had reported that bandits five days ago invaded a house of the victims, killing one person while two policemen sustained bullet injuries in an attempt to foil the kidnap of the victims.
A source close to the victims who preferred anonymity told our reporter on Sunday that a contact was established last Saturday, in which the bandits’ leader called through a phone and demanded the ransom.
He said despite the man who was negotiating with the bandits trying to explain the financial situation in the country as a result of the high demand of ransom, the bandits’ leader cut off the call abruptly.
He said though the man who was in the middle of the negotiation of the ransom was still waiting to hear from the bandits, the bandits’ leader could not be reached on phone again since on Saturday, after the conversation.
