Commandant of the Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Suleiman Jimoh has on Friday declared a total war on vandals of the critical national assets and Infrastructure whom he described as enemies of the state and the people.
Commandant Jimoh made this declaration on Friday when he paraded a 30-year Freeborn Julius who was alleged to be a dealer of stolen vehicles. The suspect was also accused of been in possession of vandalized high-tension wires popularly known as ”conductor wires.”
The suspect was arrested by the Commandant’s Patrol Team covering Ughelli Axis at about 1731hrs on Thursday 4th January 2024 at Evwreni community in Isoko South Local Government Area of the state.
Investigation revealed that the vandalized high-tension wires (Conductor Wires) which were packed in rolls into sacks and valued to be about Two million naira (2,000,000) was indeed stolen from Evwreni community in Isoko.
Commandant Jimoh reiterated his zero tolerance on all forms of vandalism in Delta State, especially as it concerns the nations Critical National Assets and Infrastructure. He further warned miscreants to seek legitimate means of livelihood or get ready to face the wrath of the law.
