Yuletide: Delta NSCDC Braces Up, Deploys Over 1,100 Personnel To Take Charge Of Security Before, During And After Xmas Holiday

Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Suleiman Jimoh has carried out a massive deployment of its officers and men to take charge of security before, during and after Christmas holiday and in the same vein enhanced its inter-agency collaboration through its various joint taskforce teams.

Speaking on Monday at the State NSCDC Command in Asaba, Commandant Jimoh said the Delta NSCDC Command under his watch has deployed personnel from its various tactical units and Departments such as Anti-vandal; Agro rangers; Mines and Steel; Anti-human trafficking; Disaster management and Counter terrorism team amongst others to collaborate with the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in securing worship and recreational centres, market places, malls, second Niger Bridge and all critical infrastructure.
Jimoh added that the deployment is in line with the resolve of the state command to ensure a peaceful environment as there will be influx of people into the state thereby increasing economic activities and social vices.

Commandant Jimoh however emphasized that his Command would ensure quick dispensation of justice with zero level tolerance for all perpetrators of criminality before, during and after the yuletide period, adding that the ”Command’s topmost priority is to protect lives and all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) within and around Delta State to ensure adequate measures in the maintenance of law and order shall be proactively implemented.”

Commandant Jimoh however implored all Delta residents and visitors to be extra vigilant during the Xmas period by ensuring that strange movements and unusual activities are reported to the Command promptly.
