Gombe NSCDC Recovers Diverted Refrigerated Meat Pick Up Van Vehicle

Operatives of the Gombe Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have recovered a stolen refegerated meat van vehicle with chassis number LJ11KAA16k1312795 assigned to the Butchers Association in Gombe State branch by the state government through the Ministry of Agriculture.
The vehicle was given to the state government by the Federal Government for hygienic distribution of meat in Gombe state.
It was discovered that some top members of the state Butchers Association had connived with the alleged van thieves to steal the meat van.
As at the time of arrest, it was discovered that the suspect had forged all the documents relating to the van and sold it to a kano based auto dealer at the rate of four million naira against the twenty-seven-million-naira market value of the van.
”Investigation is still ongoing” according to a statement by the Gombe NSCDC.
