Speaking at the opening of a two-day seminar on promoting inter-agency collaboration for heads of security agencies in Anambra, Borno, Enugu, Imo, and Sokoto, Audi highlighted the significance of continuous evaluation of security strategies to unite resources and expertise in tackling security menaces.

The seminar brought together state security heads from various agencies, including the Federal Road Safety Corps, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, The Nigerian Police Force, Nigeria Customs Service, and State Security Service.

Audi emphasized the importance of seamless synergy among security stakeholders, and he stated that the seminar aligns with the goal of fostering collaboration among agencies. He expressed optimism about the far-reaching impacts of the seminar on the nation’s security architecture.

The Resident Representative of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Nigeria, Ms. Marija Peran, provided opening remarks, highlighting the organization’s support for Security Sector Reform in Nigeria since 2016. The seminar, organized in cooperation with the Nigerian House of Representatives, NSCDC, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, aims to enhance interagency collaboration and conflict resolution among security agencies.

The proposal for an “Octopus” solution signifies a call for a holistic and adaptable approach to address the multifaceted security challenges in Nigeria.
