The Delta Stae Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence
Corps (NSCDC), Suleiman Agboola Jimoh has warned all criminally minded
elements who might want to catch on the opportunity of the yuletide
period to perpetrate criminalities to stay away from Delta State as
NSCDC operatives in the state would not condone any form of crime
before, during after the yuletide period.

Commandant Jimoh stated this during an interview session in his office
this morning, maintaining that his entire Command and its operatives
are battle ready to twarth any move, no matter how minute, to subject
lives and property of the people and that of the government to
threats.

‘’Particularly, my Command would concede a great deal of security to
all government critical infrastructure including the pipelines with
maximum surveillance, in addition to other security measures that
would be put in place. Delta NSCDC would put in place a complete
surveillance  and security checks to those that may want to seize the
opportunity of yuletide period to cause any form of civil unrest in
Delta State.’’ Commandant Jimoh stated.

‘’Additionally, let me quickly say that our intelligence unit would be
out in full swing to thwart and arrest any perpetrator of fraud who
normally catches on yuletide period to swindle innocent and
unsuspecting people. Let me call on the people that they should be
wary of any strange move, telephone calls or suspicious movements.
They should report any suspicious movements to any of our formations.
within their jurisdiction. Very soon we shall make public our
dedicated phones lines for the yuletide period.’’ Said Commandant
Jimoh.

It will be recalled that operatives of the Delta NSCDC had in a joint task force operation alongside with officers from 63 Brigade arrested suspected killer of a police officer in Asaba.
