Network Of Civil Society Organisations In Nigeria Honours Taraba NSCDC Commandant, Adamu Salihu

The Network Of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria on leadership and good governance has today honoured the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Adamu Salihu with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his excellent service delivery in the state.

The organisation which was in Taraba state to monitor the just concluded Local Government elections across the state said they were impressed with the way the personnel of NSCDC carried out their responsibilities professionally and dedicatedly.   

 While presenting the Certificate of Excellence to the State Commandant, the National Coordinator of the Network of Civil Society Organisation in Nigeria explained that her NGO is concerned with good governance in Nigeria and that was why they came to Taraba to monitor the way Local Government elections are conducted. “The main problem our country is facing today is leadership, once we get it right everything will fall into place. We came to Taraba to see how leaders at the local level emerge and we noticed that the NSCDC has performed credibly well in ensuring a level playing ground and securing voters who turned out for the election. This could not have been possible if the leadership of this command was poor. It is in this regard that we decided to present you with this Certificate of Excellence to appreciate you for the amazing job you have done.

Receiving the Certificate, the Commandant NSCDC Taraba State Command Adamu Salihu thanked the Leadership of the NGO for recognizing his contribution in the area of security of lives and property and promised not to relent in his effort to rid Taraba of criminal elements. ” This recognition will further galvanize my resolve to ensure that the peace and security of the people of Taraba are ahead of all other interests”, he said.

The Commandant then urged the group to always speak up when they noticed areas where the Corps could improve in their service delivery.
