The Rapid Response Squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command has foiled an attempted abduction in Ungwan Allu Bako, Azuba Bashayi Area of the State.
On 17th November 2023 kidnappers had stormed the residence of Pharm Elia Sunday, located at Ungwar Allu Bako, Azuba Bashayi along victory Power Ministry Church, and abducted the Pharmacist and his wife after shooting sporadically to scare away residence.
The RRS of the NSCDC responded to a distress call from the area and immediately swung into action and engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gun duel before rescuing the victims, after which the abductors escaped.
The State Commandant, Abbas Bappa Muhammed extolled the bravery and gallantry and show of professionalism of the RRS team, while urging the residents to always be security conscious and report any suspected movement within their areas.
