It was a commendation galore last Wednesday at the Cross River Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at the presentation of Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s second year compendium of achievements as numerous officers and men of the Corps reeled out in details the unprecedented accomplishments of Dr Audi, and how they have consistently benefitted from CG Audi’s result-oriented administration, especially as concerns promotion of deserving officers and men of the Corps within a spate of two years of his leadership.
.NSCDC officers and men at the event in emotion-laden-voices narrated how some of them had been rendered stagnated on a rank for over ten years until the emergence of Dr Ahmed Audi who rectified the frustrating situation by ensuring that all the deserving officers and men were promoted to their appropriate rank accordingly.
One of the affected officers who pleaded anonymity, revealed how he and some of his colleagues had almost gone into psychological trauma, because, for almost eleven years they had been on a rank and denied promotion before CG Audi came to their rescue to ensure that justice and fairness prevailed by moving them up to their appropriate rank.
”It was really an agonizing period for me and my other colleagues being tied down on a rank for over a decade without giving any cogent reasons, and more so when were eminently qualified to be promoted, but we give glory to almighty God for giving us Dr Audi, our CG who rectified all the anomalies in the promotion of personnel by ensuring that all the deserving officers and men who been deprived of their legitimate elevation in the service were promoted accordingly” the source said.
