Taraba Local Government Elections: Taraba NSCDC Commandant, Adamu Salihu Deploys 1414 Operatives For Election Duty

Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Council elections in Taraba State, which is scheduled for the 18th of November 2023, the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Taraba State Command Adamu Salihu has deployed a total number of one thousand four hundred and fourteen personnel to provide security before, during and after the elections.

The Commandant made this known while addressing newsmen in his office at the State Command Headquarters Mile Six Jalingo. 

Commandant Adamu explained that the deployment was necessary to protect voters and to also ensure the smooth conduct of the election across the state.

He took his time to warn all criminal elements and thugs to stay away from all polling units as their activities would not be condoned by men of the Corps. “I have charged my men to ensure that the elections are conducted in a peaceful atmosphere and that criminals should not be allowed to hijack the process”, he said.

The Commandant also tasked his personnel to uphold high standards of professionalism as the Corps does not tolerate corruption in any guise.

Commandant Adamu then called on all Tarabans to come out en masse to elect candidates of their choice as the Corps in collaboration with other sister security agencies will do everything within their power to ensure their safety.
