Commandant Ahmad Gandi Gandi, the helmsman of the Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reemphasized the preparedness of his men across the state for Saturday governorship election, stressing that the Corps would not give iota of opportunity to criminal acts that could disrupt the election.
”We shall ward off in its entirety any form of criminal act that could disrupt the smooth conduct of Kogi state governorship election on Saturday. And we shall be of zero-level tolerance with crime mongers all through the election period, and even after.
The Corps is duty bound in full cognizance of its mandate to ensure civil orderliness that would sail the election through devoid of any criminal act, and this we shall not compromise no matter whose ox is gored.” Gandi warned.
Gandi said the Command has concluded plans to give adequate coverage to the election, adding that no stone would be left unturned to ensure that the election is hitch free.
”The Corps is on top of the situation as far as logistics and other relevant steps are concerned, and I can assure you that we are good to go, we shall be firm on our mandate on Saturday without necessarily trampling on citizen rights, except those that are out to cause mayhem, we shall not hesitate to ward them off.” Gandi promised.
