Operatives of the Gombe State Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested 76 suspects over the allegations of same-sex marriage and pimping business.
Briefing journalists at the Command’s Headquarters, Commandant Mohammed Muazu, said his operatives prevented the wedding from taking place, emphasizing that the NSCDC would not tolerate criminality and social vices no matter how minute it may appear to be.
Speaking on behalf of Commandant Muazu, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SC Buhari Sa’ad, disclosed that following investigation they discovered that out of 76 suspects 59 are males with 21 said to have confessed to being homosexuals, adding that 17 females were also nabbed at the scene.
Muazu said, “They were arrested at Duwa plaza along Bauchi-Gombe expressway, holding homosexual birthday and they had plans to hold same sex wedding before our men raided the scene. 59 males were arrested, 21 willfully confessed to being homosexuals and 17 females, being present at the scene we picked them.”
The Commandant while lamenting the degeneration of morality said he would send the culprits to school where they would not have adequate time for frivolities, noting that they would be charged to court upon completion of investigation, “they will be charged to court to answer for their crime,” Muazu added.
