KOGI STATE NSCDC COMMANDANT A.A GANDI ADVOCATES SYNERGY AND COLLABORATION AS A WAY OF CURBING INSECURITY IN KOGI STATE

The Kogi State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has advocated for a  more robust synergy and collaboration as a way of curbing insecurity in kogi State. He made this advocacy when he hosted the newly deployed NDLEA Commander Kogi State Command, Commander of Narcotics Adeyeye Olusegun who paid him a familiarization visit at his office in Lokoja.

The commander applauded the activities of the corps in terms of security coverage, noting that the partnership that exists between the NSCDC and NDLEA is brotherly as the sole objective of the duo agencies is to ensure the wellness of Nigeria. 

The commander commended the role of the Corps in protection of lives and properties and other Critical National Asset and Infrastructure (CNAI) , moreso synergying with NDLEA to fight against drug abuse and usage  in Kogi State which is bordered with nine (9) State including FCT , and this inturn makes the work very tasking and demanding for which synergy and collaboration is the only panacea to eradicate the menace in the  State.

In his remarks Commandant A.A. Gandi appreciated the commander and tag the visit as historical.

Speaking further he informed that NSCDC Kogi State Command is present in all the Local Government of the State , thus given it a wider scope of being amidst of people and gathering credible intelligence information.

He stated that the Command has made several drug related offenses and handed over to NDLEA in the spirit of synergy and collaboration.

He advocates that henceforth training and symposia will be organized between the two agencies to enlighten personnel on drug abuse related issues and the way forward.
