The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has been described by Plateau State NSCDC Commandant, Alexander Barunde as a visionary leader who has applied his immense experience and skill to reposition NSCDC to an enviable height.
Speaking yesterday at the presentation of the CG Audi’s Second Year Compendium of achievements, the Plateau State NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Alexander Bissa Barunde described CG Audi as a progressive leader who has since assumption of office effected enormous positive changes to reinvigorate the Corps.
”Without mincing words and let me say with all sense of responsibility that the emergence of our Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi has helped in no small measure to reinvent the Corps, and serves as a moral boosting to all the officers and men of the corps. Unlike before, we are all happy today that we can now write our examination on yearly basis which determines our promotion.” Consequently, most of us who had lost hope before the emergence of our CG, Dr. Audi are now excited and confident that we can always get promoted as at when due without interference or lobby. On account of his innovative drive NSCDC is now rated one of the most active and vibrant paramilitaries which all Nigerians are so proud of.” Barunde said at the presentation ceremony held in his Jos office yesterday.
The author of the book, Isiaka Mustapha, had earlier in his speech informed Commandant Barunde that he was actually motivated to write the book on the account of the unprecedented achievements of Dr. Audi within a spate of two years of his leadership at the NSCDC. Mustapha, however thanked the Dr. Audi for the opportunity offered him to write the book.
