The state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command, Engr. Olatundun Olayinka has received a compendium containing the outstanding second year score sheet of the first tenure of Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Akure.
The book titled Through “The Eyes of the Media” was presented to the Command by the Author Mr. Isiaka Mustapha the Chief Executive Officer, People’s Security Monitor, Abuja.
While presenting the book, Mr. Mustapha said, ‘ NSCDC has taken its pride of place in the nation’s security community, as far as its core mandates are concerned while emphasizing that the Commandant General has indeed transformed the Corps within two years to an enviable status.
Commandant Olatundun while responding, appreciated the author for picking interest in the Corps by projecting and documenting the laudable achievements of the Commandant General to the general in a book for posterity’s sake.
“The CG, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi is a detribalized Nigerian, hardworking, innovative and an indefatigable personality. He has transformed the Corps in all areas and also introduced far reaching modern security strategies in the areas of Agro Rangers, Special Female Squad, Safe School Initiative, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, Marine policing amongst many others.” Commandant Olatundun said.
The compendium with 12 chapters is hoped to serve as intellectual reference for research work and a guide for the upcoming generation.
