Nnaemeka and 53 other suspects were paraded, including two women, for criminal offences ranging from conspiracy, armed robbery, murder, defilement, kidnapping, child trafficking, IPOB/ESN terrorism activities, unlawful possession of prohibited firearms, receiving of stolen properties, car snatching, and vandalisation of electricity cables.
He said he had lured Sixtus from his parents’ house in Orlu to an uncompleted building, overpowered and killed him, and later severed the penis, heart, lungs, and hands and took it to Lagos, saying he was paid N1.5million by the receiver for ritual purposes.
Nnaemeka said, “I killed somebody but I don’t know his name. After I killed him, I took some body parts, his lungs, penis, and hands to the buyer in Lagos. It was a contract, they paid me N1.5million.
“I’m not a member of Eastern Security Network (ESN) but I took oath to work with them. They caught me one day and took me to their commander, Odogwu in my local government area, Orsu.
“I saw over 200 boys at the camp where I took the oath at Amaegbu forest in Orsu local government area of Imo State,” Nnaemeka told newsmen.
He later dropped the other body parts in a septic tank in his house and headed for Lagos. However, upon arrest, he has shown the police the decomposed body.
Imo State police public relations officer, Henry Okoye told newsmen that Nnaemeka was arrested after Sixtus Ezebudo’s parents reported a case of missing person to the police, after which they commenced investigations.
According to Okoye, Nnaemeka will be charged to court to answer for what he described as the deliberate and premeditated murder.
The late young Sixtus hailed from Ihete-Owerre in Orlu local government area and was lured by Nnaemeka on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 at about 4:30pm where he was murdered.
