Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has assured the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) of his support in securing the state.
AbdulRazaq made the promise while receiving the state Commandant of the corps, Mr Umar Mohammed, in Ilorin on Tuesday.
He appreciated all officers and men of the corps for their commitment, doggedness and patriotism towards securing lives and properties in the state and Nigeria at large.
Earlier, Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the governor for his unalloyed support towards NSCDC over the years.
The commandant pledged the readiness of the NSCDC to tackle crime and criminality effectively and to protect critical national assets and infrastructures in the state.
