Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and top echelon of the nation’s armed forces are expected at a reception for the immediate past Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor, at Agbor tomorrow.
The reception, being organised by the people of Ika Federal Constituency, is expected to be graced by Delta State House of Assembly Speaker Emomotimi Guwor; the Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Tessy Diai; former Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, among other eminent personalities.
All 11 monarchs in the Federal constituency are also expected to attend the ceremony at the Public Field in Agbor.
Speaking ahead of the reception, the Vice Chairman of the organising committee, Rear Admiral NP Agholor (retd.) said: “General Lucky Irabor is our kinsman, colleague, friend and brother in whom we are well pleased.
“He has distinguished himself in service and acquitted himself after an unblemished service to the nation. It is because of this and the honour he has brought to our land that the Ika people have decided to give honour to whom honour is due.”
