The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command Lokoja, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi has charged sixty-two personnel of the State Command who took part in the Range classification exercise recently to live up to the expectations of the Corps, by serving the nation with honour, discipline and patriotism.

He noted that it’s imperative for Officers and men to acquaint themselves with the latest skills in weapon handling following the trends of attacks on Security Personnel, Security formations, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, banditry, and bunkering, thus the need for training and retraining of personnel on weapon handling.

Speaking further Ahmad Ahmad Gandi said the personnel had previously undergone five(5) weeks rigorous and intensive training after   satisfying the basic forensic requirements before embarking on the shooting range classification.

The Commandant emphasized on the need for professionalism by the personnel and warned against accidental discharge, while reiterating that, the hole essence of the exercise is to bring about maximum and better productivity in line with international best practices as obtained in other climes of the world.

Furthermore, he admonished them to be dutiful as the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi is not relenting on improving the welfare of the NSCDC personnel.
