ARMY/NSCDC: KOGI NSCDC COMMANDANT, AHMAD AHMAD GANDI ADVOCATES SYNERGY

The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command Lokoja, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi has advocated for a robust synergy amongst Security agencies, he made this call when he received in his office the Army Commander,12 Brigade Lokoja Kogi State, Brigadier General  I E  Akpaumontia at the State Headquarters of NSCDC Lokoja Kogi State Command.

 The Army commander stated that the visit became necessary following his assumption in office as the Brigade Commander, thus making NSCDC his first place of contact amongst others. This he said is to further concretize the already existing synergy between the duo.

The Brigade Commander reiterated that the protection of lives and properties in Kogi state can not be compromised.
He harped on the fact that no Security agency can claim to be a superstar in the provision of security for lives and properties, but with the spirit of synergy amongst all the security agencies, an enabling environment where lives and properties can be protected will be in existence.

The commander said the Nigeria Army and NSCDC have a  course to work together especially now that Kogi state will be embarking on an electioneering process in November 2023.

Responding to the essence of the visit, kogi State Commandant Ahmad Ahmad Gandi appreciated the auspicious visit of the Army General to the State Command in the spirit of oneness. He said I felt highly honored and even more, for the fact that NSCDC is your first place of contact. The  Commandant brought to his notice, saying “we have many things in common, as I have also benefited from the Martin Luther centre in Abuja.

 Speaking further the Kogi NSCDC helmsman recalled how he had a seamless working relationship with the last two out gone CAR Commanders.

 Commandant Gandi while speaking, appreciated the NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, saying the “Commandant General has always referred to the Nigeria Army as NSCDC most important partner in the Security circle.
In his words ” the Commandant General has emphasized time without number that NSCDC was virtually birthed by Nigeria Army  in the late ’60s as a result of the Civil war, the Army played a very important role in training NSCDC personnel and have been our progress support for decades, hence NSCDC owe a lot to the Nigeria Army.

The Commandant basically mentioned that
some of the command personnel just returned from a joint operation with the military, codenamed (operation sharan daji ) in zamfara while a new set of officers have been sent as replacement. He unequivocally appreciated the 12 Brigade commander for the  role he played towards the success achieved in the just concluded range  classification exercise for the NSCDC personnel.
