Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State has decorated 155 of its newly promoted officers.
Idowu Ojelabi, the NSCDC Commandant in Ogun, decorated the officers in Abeokuta, the state capital.
According to him, the promoted officers of the corps included those who had been stagnant for years without progression.
Ojelabi commended the NSCDC Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the prompt promotion of officers, especially the “promotion of officers that have been stagnant on certain ranks, nationwide.
“For instance, in Ogun State Command, we graciously have a total of 155 personnel that were elevated from one rank to another, including those who have been stagnant for a while.”
He said the NSCDC boss did his best to assuage the long-time suffering of stagnant officers through rejuvenating the promotion process and conducting credible screening and examination.
He called on the newly promoted senior officers in Ogun State command to reciprocate the gesture by rising to the responsibilities of their new ranks.
“You should ensure you work professionally to further cement the positive perception already enjoyed by the Corps in the Gateway State,” he charged.
