The Maitama Division of the FCT High Court has granted the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, unrestricted access to his lawyers and family members.
The presiding judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, gave the order on Friday, stating that it is within Mr Emefiele’s constitutional rights.
The order was sequel to an application filed by J.B. Daudu counsel to Mr Emefiele.
Also;, the lawyer informed the court that he had written letters to the SSS, particularly on June 14, for the purpose of taking further instruction from him, but the SSS has refused to respond to the application.
It could be recalled that last Saturday, Mr Emefiele was arrested by operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) hours after his suspension by President Bola Tinubu on Friday evening.
