NSCDC COMMANDANT GENERAL SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE SQUAD APPREHENDS TWO KINGPINS FOR BANDITRY, KIDNAPPING, CATTLE RUSTLING IN NASARAWA

The Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad has arrested two who specialize in kidnapping, banditry and Cattle rustling, terrorizing, Akiri, Azara Namu and Quan’pan, areas of Nasarawa, Taraba and Plateau States.

The gallant men of the Special intelligence Squad, swung into action after receiving and verifying credible information about the activities of bandits, kidnapping and incessant cattle rustling in the aforementioned areas.

Parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the State Commandant, Mr. Abbas Bappa Muhammed who spoke through the Public Relations Officer DSC Jerry Victor, said the suspect, Abdullahi Laru Abubakar, who hails from Turyan Village of Kwande district of Quan’pan local government area of Plateau State was arrested on the 27th of September 2022.

The suspect Abdullahi Laru Abubakar confessed to have called on his gang members simply identified as Umar, Duware and Ango (still at-large) all from Kwande area to rustle 10 cattle belonging to one Alhaji Sule Yamusa aka ‘Alh. Amo’, of Akiri area in Azara Development Area in Awe local government area of Nasarawa State.

Danlami Ahmadu 40 years from Angwan Kurmi Kwande district of Quan’pan local government area of Plateau State was arrested for receiving four rustled cattle from Duware one of the gang members.

He confessed to have conveyed the cattle to Gidan Maiwa in Bauchi where he sold 2 for N440,000.

Investigation is ongoing, and when concluded they will be charge to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution, he concluded.

The State Commandant however called on the good people of the state to make available credible and reliable information to security agencies closer to them for prompt action.
