Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commnadant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
The commandant of the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Idris Yahaya Adah, has ordered the deployment of 2, 000 personnel across the state for June 12, Democracy Day.
This was contained in a statement issued by the command’s public relations officer, DSC Habeeb Badamsi, on Sunday.
Adah stated that Kaduna State, being the centre of the north, needs the presence of security personnel to ensure a hitch-free celebration.
“We are strategically at the centre of the north (Kaduna); we must beef up security at all times. Our men are up and doing to protect lives, property, and critical national infrastructure. The people of the state need us; we must protect them, and that is why we deploy personnel across the 23 local government areas of the state,” he said.
The NSCDC commandant assured the people of the state of the safety of their lives and property and urged them to go about their normal business activities as gallant NSCDC personnel are spread across the state and the centre of the town to ensure adequate protection.
He further advised all officers to discharge their duties without fear or favour and to ensure they protect critical national assets and infrastructure across the state.
