Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been sworn-in as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Eagle Square.
He took the oath of office around 10:38am on Monday. The oath was administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
The moment Tinubu was called to take his oath of office, the entire Eagle Square erupted in rapturous joy.
His supporters rendered the popular anthem, “On your mandate we shall stand.”
Former President, Muhammadu Buhari was with Tinubu as he took his oath of office with all alacrity and zest.
He was very bold and courageous when taken the oath of office. His wife, Oluremi was at his side during his coronation.
Earlier, Senator Kashim Shettima was sworn-in as the new Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He took the oath of office around 10:30am, which was administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
