The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command arrested nineteen members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, in Abuja on Thursday.
Shitte members were arrested for obstructing traffic, rioting, and unlawful procession.
The arrested protesters will be charged in court, according to the police command.
The FCT police command’s spokesman, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the development in a statement.
